Things have been pretty stressful lately with projects and deadlines, but I think the hard stuff has all passed. Michael Olson sent off a proposal for his new piece Velour to be performed at SEAMUS in January and I sent off a proposal for the International Saxophone Symposium, so hopefully at least one of these will be accepted. I'm also still working on a couple of bigger projects that will soon be revealed, so check back!

Going to the Threshold Festival at Bowling Green State University this past weekend was definitely one of the highlights of this semester for me. I got to see my good friend Michael James Olson and met a lot of really nice and interesting people from Bowling Green, Ball State, and Oberlin. Michael's piece, Driftwood, was received incredibly well. I also got to meet Marilyn Shrude for the first time, which for me is a very big deal, as she is one of my favorite composers.
